THE BURIED JEWEL

A collaborative project with my amazing classmates Glenda Sciberras and Montana Rodriguez. This project was a finalist in a Torrens University competition, judged by Sibella Court.

Brief: To design an underground speakeasy style bar in the basement of a new build for a large, multi-generational family and their guests.

The concept is based on the historical residents of Scotland Island, in particular Indigenous woman ‘Catherine Benns’ - The Queen of Scotland Island, much loved and respected midwife and inspiration, she is said to have buried her jewels somewhere on the island.

Mirrors and lighting provide a glittering display, resulting in the client’s own buried treasure. Glam, luxurious and fun, it features materials and equipment of the highest quality, for a design to grow with the family.
